In April 2013 I was fortunate to be given an internship at Cave Paper where I participated in making different varieties of paper, including this seed paper.
The 'Big Ass' paper making workshop at Paper Book Intensive 2013 in Michigan, USA was my first introduction to making large sheets of kozo paper .

My main paper making is with banana fibre. The plant trunk is chopped then cooked for many hours, then rinsed until the water runs clear then beaten. Its a long but rewarding process.
Unlike ‘western’ paper making which uses a mould & deckle and the wet paper is compressed before drying, the ‘eastern’ style of paper making is a one step process of drying paper on the actual mould.
