Capturing bodies ‘on the line’ - ink on muslin
In April 2025, I travelled to Tasmania to participate in a unique camping residency in one of the threatened forest areas of Takayna/Tarkine with the Bob Brown Foundation. At Pruana coupe, one side of the road had already been clear-felled and we camped in the forest on the other side of the road.
It was a stark reminder of how vulnerable the ancient native forests are and how they need to be protected by World Heritage listing.
The art I made while there responded to both the artists taking part in the residency and the forest itself.
I will be making a short film about this experience - links will be uploaded soon.
