Using a discarded library book on writing, I altered this book using collage, folding and stitching. It features old photographs, vintage and handmade papers and handwritten letters. It will be exhibited in the Bound and Unbound VIII exhibition at the University of South Dakota, USA in August 2025.
Inspired by the neolithic Callanish Stones on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland, these argyrotype prints have become accordion fold books.
They were made during an artist residency at the Island Darkroom on the Isle of Lewis for my Stone Stories project.

The first six weeks recovering from total knee replacement surgery are excruciatingly painful. I used pain medication packs and disposable hospital cups to create cyanotypes about my post-operative recovery.

This artist book is about the animal tracks found in the Central Australian desert sands. I wove handmade papers made from spinifex and kangaroo grass with stitched ‘tracks’.

This artist book Pilgrim Stranger, (Coigrich Taistealach) was named after a poem of that title written by Gaelic artist Rona Dhòmhnallach who I met in Scotland.
It reminded her of a map that a pilgrim might use to find their way back to their true selves.
