Desert Papermaking

Curtin Springs cattle station is on the road to Uluru in the Northern Territory, Australia. It is desert country, with red sands, spinifex and kangaroo grasses and salt pans.

Water is supplied to the cattle in toughs pumped up from a series of bores via windmills. Obsolete farm objects were rusted or used for cyanotype prints to create narratives of desert occupation.
