How to encapsulate a year that started with a bang then abruptly skidded to a stop half way through as I struggled to overcome post surgery pain. Learning to be still, rest and recover was a huge challenge. Through all these months good and not so good, I kept writing and making art to document my journey. An epic year to share in this Year in Review 2024 blogpost.

I have spent the past five years pushing myself to my limits, learning, exploring life as a entrepreneur, creating art and returning to writing again. At the end of 2023 I have emerged stronger in my art practice, knowing that living as an artist means embracing all of who you are. The only thing constant is change.

This is the year I have given myself permission to design the life I want to lead my way and to encourage others to do the same. As I do this I become clearer in how I want to work, what I want to create and how important travel and adventure are in keeping my inspiration alive.
